Alabama Extension Launches Hurricane Recovery Website

AUBURN, Ala.— Alabama Extension has created a special website to help people recover from Hurricane Michael. The website,, is a source of information on recovery for families, communities, and those in the agricultural industry. There you will find information on disaster assistance, storm cleanup, chain saw safety, scams after a disaster, mold abatement, post-storm tree assessment and also much more.

All the information on the website is contributed by Extension specialist and agents and faculty members from Auburn University. The information is available in a variety of formats, including articles, videos and fact sheets. is a comprehensive resource for the state’s residents,” said Dr. Gary Lemme, Alabama Extension director. “During recovery, Alabama Extension wants the public to know that we are a reliable source of information for farmers as well as homeowners.” features research-based information that deals with agriculture, business and home and garden.

“We encourage everyone to make use of,” Lemme said.  “Use the information you find there to make the recovery from Hurricane Michael as easy as possible.”
